When a meth user crashes after binging on meth they go into an agitated depression, sometimes accompanied by an urge for more meth. Eventually these feelings give way to lethargy, followed by a long deep sleep. When the meth user finally wakes their depression returns - this is a time when the potential for suicide is high.
Meth can cause disturbing hallucinations. Users may think that they are seeing or hearing things that are not really there.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released its voluntary guidelines for meth lab cleanup in August of 2009. Their guidelines consist of an examination of remediation standards, system and methods as well as material on worker safety, developing a cleanup plan and disposing of contaminated waste.
Meth abuse can cause increased heart rate and blood pressure and irreversible damage to blood vessels in the brain, producing strokes.
Snorting meth irritates the nose. Smoking meth is hard on the users throat and lungs. However, smoking and injection are the fastest ways to deliver the drug to the brain. By either route of administration, users get very high, very quickly and attempt to recapture the feeling as soon as it begins to fade.
