Studies show that meth effects can last up to six months after just one use and the drug can do greater damage to a person's physical, behavioral and thinking functions than many other illicit drugs or alcohol.
Back in 2002, over 12 million people in the US over the age of 12 reported trying meth at least once in their lifetime. Of these 12 million, over 590,000 reported having used methamphetamine in the past month.
Physical meth withdrawal symptoms may include: shaking or tremors, nausea, palpitations, sweating, hyperventilation and increased appetite.
