Recently, meth has a new look and taste as meth cooks are now adding coloring and flavoring to the drug. Experts believe people between ages 18 to 25 are the most likely to use flavored forms of meth.
Although crystal meth is known to cause extreme weight loss the effects are not permanent and many regular meth users experience adaptation where the weight loss no longer occurs as the body becomes used to the effects of the crystal meth. Meth users who take the drug intravenously may suffer AIDS, hepatitis, infections and sores at the injection site, and infection of the heart lining and valves (endocarditis).
Meth comes in different colors depending on how it is made and what it is made with. Typically it will come as an off-white or yellow powder. However, there is a form of meth known as crystal meth that resembles glass fragments and looks like shiny blue-white rocks.
