Crystal methamphetamine or "tina" is one of the fastest growing drugs in the gay community. To users it's short-term effects may seem mild and the initial high fantastic, but in the long run tina can be dangerous to their physical and emotional health not to mention social well-being.
The toxic solvents and by-products left behind when creating meth are extremely hazards to our communities when the meth cooks dump them. This is because they can penetrate the ground soil and water for years after they have been discarded.
The use of this drug has been vastly on the increase because of its availability on the streets and the desired sensations that it produces. Today it has been move up from a class B drug to a class An and possession of this illegal drug can cause up to seven years imprisonment.
Many girls and women are deceived by meth in thinking it is a quick way to lose weight. Their meth use causes them to go past the point of looking normal into an appearance of looking too thin or has a sunken face. It is not uncommon for meth addicts to look like skin and bones.
