Meth can be taken several different ways; it can be swallowed, smoked, snorted, or injected.
12% of the twelfth grade females in South Dakota admitted to using meth one or more times.
Some meth users will carry a hollowed out pen. It is used to carry the drug, snort finely crushed meth or even serves as a 'pipe stem' to inhale fumes when the drug is smoked.
A recent study (January 2010) in the American Journal of Psychiatry took a look at patients who were suffering long-term Meth psychosis and found no relief with antipsychotic medication but responded rapidly to electroconvulsive therapy (ECT or Shock Treatment).
