The cost of meth varies across the country but it is estimated that the drug costs $25 per 1/4 gram, $ 100 per gram and $1700 per ounce of meth.

This statistic is based on the fact that at least half of the suspects arrested for violent crimes (i.e. homicide and assault) were using meth or another drug at the time of their arrest.
