There are many catastrophic accidents that are associated with the illegal manufacturing of crystal meth. There have been reported cases such as automobile accidents, explosions and fires triggered by the illegal manufacturing of crystal meth. Prescription methamphetamines are a Schedule II stimulant. This means it has a high potential for abuse and is available only through a prescription that cannot be refilled.
In some extreme cases, meth-related psychosis lasts for years. However, in these unique cases, experts believe the drug has probably brought-on symptoms of a pre-existing mental disorder.
When a meth user crashes after binging on meth they go into an agitated depression, sometimes accompanied by an urge for more meth. Eventually these feelings give way to lethargy, followed by a long deep sleep. When the meth user finally wakes their depression returns - this is a time when the potential for suicide is high.
Meth effects take place quickly creating rapid pleasurable feelings that are then followed by feelings of depression and irritability when the drug wears off.
