Meth addicts may display some very disturbing psychotic features. Addicts have been known to suffer paranoia, visual and auditory hallucinations, and delusions (for example, the sensation of insects crawling under the skin).
Some meth addicts feel the sensation of bugs crawling under their skin. Doctors have labeled this formication but meth users typically call it crank bugs.
When a meth user comes down from a binge on the drug they will experience depression, paranoia and aggression. These mood disturbances, strange thoughts and odd behavior may last for days, weeks or even longer depending on how out of touch with reality the drug user has become during their meth binge.
